I’m Sarah Kate, an occupational therapist and pelvic floor therapist, and I founded Charleston Pelvic Health to fill a gap in women’s healthcare by providing personalized, high-quality pelvic health care that meets you where you are, physically, emotionally, and practically.

I created a practice that provides the kind of care I wish more women had access to: thoughtful, one-on-one support that fits into real life.

I’ve navigated pregnancy, cesarean recovery, and my own pelvic health challenges, including painful sex and unexpected leaking. I know how disruptive these symptoms can feel, especially in the middle of an already full life.

With advanced training in pregnancy, postpartum recovery, pelvic pain, bowel and bladder concerns, and complex conditions across the lifespan, I’m here to help you feel more comfortable, confident, and at home in your body.

Think we may be a good fit? Request an appointment.

“Sarah Kate has a way of making you feel completely comfortable even though you're talking about a subject that can be really awkward.”

What It’s Like to Work Together

Pelvic floor therapy should help you feel more connected to your body, not more confused by it.

My goal is to help you understand what’s happening in your body, feel confident in your options, and create practical strategies that actually fit into your life.

After your initial evaluation, you’ll feel hopeful, supported, and confident with a clear plan that helps you feel encouraged that relief is possible.

Sarah Kate made it simple
and feel achievable.”

Understand Your Body

We’ll look at the full picture — your symptoms, history, routines, movement, stress, sleep, bowel and bladder habits, and goals — so you can better understand why symptoms may be showing up and what we can do to address them.

Restore Function

Treatment is personalized to your body and your life. Together, we’ll work on eliminating pain and leaks, promoting healing and recovery, increasing comfort and pleasure, and ensuring you feel strong, coordinated, and confident getting back to the activities and routines that matter most to you.

Thrive With Confidence

Our work doesn’t have to stop with just symptom relief. I can support you in building healthier habits, feeling stronger and more connected to your body, and moving forward with greater confidence.

Your baseline does not have to be the finish line. Whether you need short-term care, ongoing support, or a preventative check-in during a new season of life, my goal is to help you feel informed, capable, and resilient in your body long-term.

The Charleston Pelvic Health Difference

Care that is personal, practical, and
designed for your real life.

A pelvic floor therapist standing outside the door of her newly postpartum mom's home, arriving for a in-home pelvic floor therapy session to help with postpartum recovery.
Two women are sitting in a small bathroom, one on the toilet and the other on a step stool. They are engaged in conversation, with the woman on the step stool gesturing with her hand. The bathroom has white tiled walls, a shower curtain with a geometric pattern, and bathroom essentials on shelves.

Charleston Pelvic Health offers personalized pelvic floor therapy through in-home visits, private office appointments in West Ashley or downtown Charleston, and telehealth throughout South Carolina.

Choose the setting that feels most comfortable and convenient for you while receiving the same thoughtful, one-on-one care.

One-on-One Care With a Pelvic Floor Therapist

You’ll always work directly with Sarah Kate, your dedicated pelvic health specialist. No bouncing between therapists, no rehab aides, and no complicated office systems — just consistent, personalized care from someone who knows your story.

Care That Fits Your Life

Choose the convenience of an in-home visit or the comfort of one of our private treatment spaces.

In-home care allows us to apply strategies directly to your routines, environment, caregiving demands, and everyday activities. Office visits provide the same attentive, one-on-one care in a dedicated treatment setting.

You can also combine in-home and office visits based on your needs, schedule, and season of life.

A Whole-Person Approach

Pelvic floor symptoms are rarely just about isolated muscles. We’ll look at the full picture—your routines, movement, sleep, stress, nervous system, caregiving demands, environment, and goals—so treatment fits naturally into your day and carries over into real life.

Education That Helps You Feel Empowered

Understanding your body is a foundational part of my approach. I want you to know why symptoms may be happening, what your options are, and how each strategy is meant to help, so you feel more confident and capable instead of simply being told what to do.

Support Across the Lifespan

Pelvic health needs can show up during pregnancy, postpartum, perimenopause, surgical recovery, hormonal changes, painful periods, pelvic pain, bowel and bladder issues, painful intimacy, and more.

I’m passionate about supporting symptoms that are often brushed off, minimized, or treated like something you simply have to live with.

Collaborative, Client-Centered Care

Your goals, preferences, and daily reality guide the plan. We’ll work together to choose treatment and home strategies that feel meaningful and realistic for you instead of handing you a generic program that does not fit your life.

Results and Confidence That Last

The goal is not just temporary relief. I want you to understand the patterns that contributed to your symptoms, know what helps your body feel better, and feel confident maintaining your pelvic health moving forward—with support available when you need it.
