Common Questions
When can I start?
Postpartum visits can begin within the first week after delivery, but it’s never too late to get care.
Internal pelvic floor assessment and treatment are not completed until after your six-week medical clearance, but there are many benefits to beginning care in the first 2 weeks. Early visits can focus on comfort, healing, body mechanics, feeding support, mobility, rest, and helping you feel supported as you recover.
What does my first visit look like?
Your first visit is one hour and can take place in your home or our private treatment offices.
We’ll review your pregnancy, birth, symptoms, daily routines, feeding setup, sleep, support system, and goals.
Depending on your needs, we may work on feeding positions, gentle hands-on treatment to promote comfort and healing, mobility, childcare tasks, or strategies to support your own rest and recovery.
You’ll leave with simple, practical strategies you can use right away to support healing, reduce aches and pains, and begin reconnecting with your core and pelvic floor.
Should I choose an in-home or office visit?
Both options provide the same personalized, one-on-one care.
In-home visits are ideal if you prefer not to travel with a newborn, want support within your own environment, or would benefit from addressing feeding positions, sleep setups, or caregiving tasks in your space.
Office visits are a great option if you prefer coming to a dedicated treatment space or live outside the primary in-home service area.
Choose whichever setting feels most comfortable and convenient for you.
Can I have my baby with me?
Of course. Your baby is always welcome, and we can incorporate feedings, diaper changes, or snuggles into our session as needed.
Older siblings are welcome too, but you may choose to reserve this time to focus on yourself.
